If you are visiting the Plaza del Obradoiro in Santiago you will find this character on a daily basis in the square. Zapatones is the official informer of pilgrims and visitors that arrive to the Cathedral of Compostela. You can always go and talk to him and ask him about any information about the cathedral, Santiago, what to do, etc. Zapatones is a friendly character with good humour, a classic in the Obradoiro Square. He will be dressed up with the traditional pilgrim outfit, the pilgrims shell and the stick. He´ll be more that happy to pose for a picture as well.
