The Old Town: One of the biggest Old Towns I´ve seen

It was great to find that Ourense had such a wonderful and huge Old Town. Merging within the streets you´ll find small churches, windy roads and amazing diagonal squares, a Cathedral and really beautiful buildings. On the other hand some of the streets were not that pleasant as buildings were under restoration or have been abandoned so you get to see loads of straight cats and experience strange smells as you walk along some buildings. But if you do not take the wrong turn, sort to say, you will find real treasures here. The old town is quite large so you should be ready for a long walk here. I loved the modern shops and cafes merging with the old buildings. It is also better to start from the top down as the old town was built on top of a hill and you can guess that when you reach any of the squares.
