Fourth Street Live!: Fourth Street Live! in Louisville, Kentucky

Fourth Street Live! is a popular dining, entertainment, and shopping area in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Visitors will find it near 4th Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard. Most folks walk to the area from wherever they are staying since Louisville’s downtown is not very large, but parking is available in case you’re traveling from other parts of the city or state. I enjoyed the hub for its many offerings, which range from affordable to pricey. If you’re on a budget, try J. Gumbo’s for some tasty Cajun food or head to the food court where there’s a Wendy’s and Subway. If you need to mail a postcard or letter, there’s a small post office near TGIFriday’s. I saw longish lines for the Hard Rock Café and Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge on the weekend. For fun, there’s also a bowling alley, live music at the different bars, and a comedy club. If you need tourist information, there’s a tourist center nearby, too. I found the staff there to be helpful and friendly. During the day, the area allows cars, but at night, particularly on the weekends, the streets are closed just for pedestrians.
