Arda: Great value for money, but somewhat strange service

After walking through a very dormitory-like hallway, I found the room surprisingly clean and comfortable. It had all the basic facilities you would expect from this standard of accommodation. The first thing in the welcome folder was not a welcome letter, but a list of charges for damages. While I wondered about that, my son managed to break a glass, so it was very reassuring to find out immediately that I would be charged only 2 lv for it. After all, they seemed to know what they were doing by putting the list there.

The breakfast selection (included in the room rate) exceeded my expectations by far. There was a hot and cold buffet with items nicely displayed. Only while we were enjoying our food, one of the staff members took out a cigarette and started smoking! There were no ashtrays on any of the other tables, so my guess was that guests were not supposed to smoke. On the next morning we chose a spot as far away from the staff table as possible.

The hotel is located close to the beach, bars and restaurants and there is a small sandpit with toys for children, which we unfortunately discovered just before we had to leave.
