Thoumieux: Café Thoumieux

Thoumieux is well known as a restaurant and hotel in the area, but what is better known amongst the locals is the café around the corner, also sometimes referred to as "the vodka bar." While they do order other things, vodka is the specialty here, which can be seen from the "atmosphere" pictures on the web site.

The atmosphere of the place is quite friendly but a little clubby, with dim lights illuminating the tiny bar and low, cushy seating for those who wish. They offer a few tapas to go with your drinks, but I recommend heading straight for the flavored vodkas. Feel free to go for what you know: any vodka mixer like a seabreeze or baybreeze is excellent here. However, if you feel like breaking away from the norm and trying something new, one of the bartenders is always happy to help you make a decision.
