Chapeau Melon: Wine bar with character

This tiny wine bar started out as just that: a pourhouse. Later, they installed a kitchen, and while the place is still small and the kitchen resembles a Parisian home kitchen, but the dishes they turn out are phenomenal and perfectly matched to the main attraction: the wine.

They don't serve every night, and you have to reserve and come in for the one and only seating. The menu is the same for everyone, so don't bring your picky friends. However, I had no complaints: everything was delicious.

One of the best parts is that you feel like you're in on an awesome secret. Chapeau Melon is tucked onto a street overwhelmed with Chinese restaurants: if you didn't know it was there, you wouldn't even notice it. Now, however you do... so take advantage and go!
