Pho Dong-Huong: Amazingly authentic and delicious

You would never notice this tiny place unless someone pointed it out to you, but most of the best places are like that. This tiny Vietnamese restaurant in Belleville, the Chinese area in the outer limits of Paris, boasts some of the best pho I've ever tasted in my life.

Paris is not necessarily well-known for its variety of international cuisines, but I finally found one Asian restaurant that is not only good, it blows any other Vietnamese I've had out of the water. The simple traditional pho is the way to go: the soup comes with garnishes of bean sprouts and lime, is filled to the brim with cilantro, tasty rice noodles, beef and flavorful broth, and to top it all off, there is a bottle of spicy sauce to add to the soup. A bowl of it completely clears your head, and for the extremely reasonable price of six euros (about... depending on which variation you order).

It's really hard to convince tourists in Paris to visit international restaurants: all they usually want to do is sample the famous French cuisine. But trust me: visit this place, and you won't regret it.
