With the large amount of Chinese options in Milwaukee, it’s hard to narrow it down to one place. So here’s a run down of the better Chinese restaurants in Milwaukee.
Chopstix

I order most from Chopstix. It’s quick, tasty, and the employees are nice. This is not a sit down restaurant however. You order at the counter…pick your food up…and take it home. You can plop down at one of the three tables in the blaring white walled room, but it’s awkward and not terribly comfortable.
China Gourmet

However, if I’m looking to sit down, my first choice is China Gourmet. It’s located downtown on the east bank of Milwaukee River. I absolutely feel that this restaurant is the king of buffets in the Chinese restaurant industry…always perfect for lunch. There are plenty of options…both for carnivores and vegetarians, and everything I’ve tried is always great.
Emperor of China

Then there is Emperor of China located on the Eastside on Brady Street. The dining room is fantastic and beautifully decorated. What’s best about this place…the cheap price of the lunch menu….it really can’t be beat. Lunches include fried rice, soup and tea.
No. 1 Chinese Restaurant

The newest restaurant on this list is No. 1 Chinese Restaurant. Lunches are affordable and they drive anywhere in the city for delivery service. I was pleased the one time I came here….but would probably choose one of the others first. Don’t let that statement deter you from going here…it is quite good.
China Wok

I was going to make this list my top five favorite Chinese restaurants, but this place made me make it top 6. China Wok is on my list for three simple reasons….fresh, cheap, and fast. Did I mention big servings as well. This place is a winner.
East Garden

Finally there is East Garden…they have a descent lunch buffet. There aren’t that many selections but what they do have is very delicious. The booths are comfy and they have a really extensive dinner menu…which I do very much like.
