Havelock: Havelock, will swim

Havelock seems to be a rather popular destination for beach bumming in the islands. Since it is well connected to the capital (Port Blair), the passage and transaction of tourist-friendly products is much easier than for many of the other beaches, which, as a result of not being so approachable, seem to have fewer modern comforts and higher costs. Though one can find the inevitable luxury accomodation, most people tend to rent out beach shacks and hammocks and live on the local food. The seas are clear and teeming with sea life; snorkeling and diving seem to be almost as common as sun bathing on the pristine beaches.
