Fred Hollows Reserve: Listen to the birds sing

Fred Hollows Reserve is a small creek with its original vegetation well preserved. It offers a 10-15 minute walk, a combination of boardwalk and a footpath through the bush. It is a great place to reconnect with nature in the middle of a busy suburb. Surprisingly, you can hardly hear the traffic noise in the distance and there are rarely any visitors, so it is very peaceful. All you can hear are the birds. My son is obsessed with birds, so I often take him there to listen to their songs. The Reserve reminds me a little bit of the Blue Mountains. In fact, we have nicknamed it “the local Blue Mountains” in our family.
