Taronga Zoo: A place to relax

The settings of the zoo are very relaxing with lots of green and magnificent views of the Harbour. We were there on a Sunday morning, so there were many families with children, but you could still find quiet areas. If you would like to avoid the hassle and bustle altogether, go during the week or in the afternoon. As we were leaving around 2 pm, so were lots of other families (children get tired quickly). My friend, who used to go often in the afternoon, said she was always wondering where all the children were.

There were places to buy food throughout the zoo. The food, of course, was expensive, as expected. But I also expected very poor choice. Surprisingly, I found the selection pretty good (and I am picky) and some of the food outlets had stunning views.
