Line of No Control: A Restaurant that Knows No Boundaries

Line of No Control is a premier Mughlai cuisine restaurant in New Delhi. It's an exotic blend of North Indian and Pakistani dishes. The effortless fusion of both cuisines reflects the emerging camaraderie between two nations. There is outdoor and indoor seating alike. The medley of elegant furniture pitted against colorful lighting makes for a vibrant ambiance. The restaurant is Dhiraj Arora's (proud owner of 6-month Story Club, Shalom Lounge, and GLO Bar) newest brainchild, thus you can expect first-class quality in taste and service. He's definitely no rookie when it comes to hospitality and restaurants, so you can expect amazing results. It's definitely not a restaurant to stumble upon, as it's located in the isolated Qutab Hotel. The dishes are extremely pure, meaning the most natural of ingredients are used to concoct such wonders. Some of my personal favorites are the Afghani Kalmi Kebab (chicken breast soaked in a garlic, cream, and cashew nut paste) and Punjabi Teekhi Macchi (chunks of fish marinated in a red chili curry). Or try a traditional drink called lassi (a buttermilk concoction with yogurt). As a staple in any North Indian restaurant, there's a fully-stocked bar showcasing a wide variety of imported and domestic spirits. It's a great place to just unwind, especially with the soothing Sufi music playing in the background. The crowd once again consists of the wealthy masses such as expatriates and upper class Indians. An average dinner for two costs about Rs. 1800. It's a classy dining option for those pining to eat authentic North Indian/Pakistani food with style, and AC of course.
