Vaby's Mediterranean Grill: Mediterranean food and atmosphere..wait this is Australia

Vaby’s Mediterranean Grill in Penrith, NSW, Australia is a step out of the ordinary. There is Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Italian and Aussie; a mix of about anything in seafood, pasta, steak, and chicken that you could dream of.

It is an atmosphere fit to compliment their food. There are tiled floors, wooden furniture, soft lighting – all a stained glass effect of Mediterranean greens and terra cotta colours. Seating is in different levels arranged throughout the establishment. The staff is absolutely the best for friendliness and hospitality. The dominating feature as you walk in the door is a long polished bar and glass back filled with alcohol, but don’t let that fool you if you have family it is very child focused for meals as well.

Kids have their own menu with puzzles, colouring and games. They have six choices of fish, chicken, pasta, burger, ribs and wedges. There are also six dessert choices. Any kids meals is bottomless drink and complimentary ice cream for $9.95. The extra desserts listed are each $8.25. There are highchairs available, and plenty of room at tables for a pram.

Adult entrees run from $8.25-$25.95, mains from $12.85-$42.50, all desserts are also $8.25. The lunch menu runs from $6.95-$9.95. The Go Nuts dessert is awesome, layers of chocolate and vanilla ice cream on a peanut chocolate biscuit base with chopped nuts and warm chocolate fudge sauce in the layers and dribbled all over. There is baby octopus, chorizo, oysters, prawns, and everything looks amazing. The Portuguese Penne is beautiful for aroma, taste and flavouring. There are vegan choices and they will try to cater to allergies.

Monday thru Thursday there is a three course meal Big Feast Deal for only $25.00. They also have a privilege card where you earn points toward meals with each visit.

They are open seven days a week from 12:00 to late. All cards are accepted and they are fully licensed.

I had such a great time here with my son. We have sworn to come again with the hubby some day.
