Pender Lea Chalets: BYO salt and pepper

There are no shops within walking distance, so if you are planning to eat at the chalets, make sure to bring everything you need, including salt, pepper, oil and spices. We did not think to buy these, so we ate really plain food all week. There was a tiny bit of salt, probably left by a previous guest, but nothing else. On the bright side, after returning to Sydney, it was really nice to have some salad with dressing on it!

There was a dryer and a washing machine in the cottage, but after sorting our laundry, we found out that the chalets do not supply laundry detergent. We were lucky that the lady at reception offered to give us some of her detergent, otherwise we would have had to drive to town.
