As of April 2008, the government does not recommended private travel to Yemen (even American workers in there were evacuated) and encourages contingency emergency plans for those who decide to visit anyway. Even if you're not American, I believe the warnings still apply. Is there a particular reason you want to visit Yemen? If not, choose some of the surrounding countries, which seem to be safer.
