Craving sushi? I thought so. You won't be disappointed with Honda-Ya. I have been to so many different sushi bars around the world, but when I'm at home in Orange County, nothing beats Honda-Ya. It's located in the heart of south Orange County in Old Town Tustin and boasts a dimly-lit authentic Japanese ambiance. The floor seating (they also have table seating) and Japanese decorative embellishments give you a true authentic cultural feel. Every time I've been, I've been amazed by the freshness of the meat. Everything from the sashimi to the udon to the cut rolls will keep you wanting more and more...The place is a small independently-owned restaurant and enjoys a long-list of loyal patrons. It has been open for many years and continues to satisfy customers. It's one of the few places that is open late, until 1, so a large influx of younger people show up past 10. There's always a crowd, so expect to wait at least 20 minutes anytime you go!
