The YMCA international house in Yaumatei, Hong Kong is a great Hotel for the budget traveler or backpacker. The place is clean, and while the rooms are not spacious they have everything you need. It is not so suitable for business travelers, as they charge for internet access, but for a private trip the location in walking distance of the many classical markets, such as the Ladies' market and the Goldfish market makes it a perfect choice. The MTR stops right around the corner and will take you everywhere you need to go. Prices are very reasonable, and don’t be afraid to choose the package including breakfast.
