Stephansdom: Stephansdom in the heart of Vienna

Europe is dotted with cathedrals and just about all of them were built as works of art in really good taste. While exploring the streets of Vienna, I was awestruck at the character and quality of architecture and Stephansdom is something you just can’t miss.
It is located plum in the heart of the Vienna, in the middle of the bustling Stephansplatz square and it looms over in a pleasant kindly, bright sort of way with its brown stone structure and tiled mosaic roof and pretty sculptures which are refreshingly un-clichéd.
They allow a tour of the higher section of the building inside, bit I missed that since I spent most of my time ogling at the intriguing grottos and the massive set of organ pipes.
