Grand Place: Grand place indeed

The Grand Place has some of the best architecture I have ever seen. There’s a pleasant charm in just standing in the middle of the cobbled Square observing such intricate art. Legend has it that the builder of each of the houses tried to out-do the other, so many of the carvings and sculptures are elaborate and very pleasing to study.
The Square is bustling with people at almost all times of the day and it pretty much marks the city centre as alleys from different corners of the Grand Place lead into different directions in the city.
I was living very close to the Grand Place so I spent a lot of time at the Square without getting bored and there are plenty of shops and cafes around to kill time. What I saw of Brussels was just so pretty.
