Charlemagne: Boulevard Celine Dion

On the way heading to Quebec City just a couple of days ago, my husband and I made a stop for chicken lunch at St. Hubert restaurant located in Charlemagne (not too, too far from Montreal). We didn’t really wander around the area actually because we only made a stop for like roughly 40 minutes; however as we headed back to the main highway, we were stopped by the red light and that was when I spotted a pretty cool street sign that says “Boulevard Celine Dion”, yes, the famous singer. Charlemagne was indeed the birthplace of Celine Dion, and to respect the singer, the city of Charlemagne has named one of the main streets as Boulevard Celine Dion. If you are a fan of her, you might find this street’s name enchanting; however, not so much for certain people who belong to the commission of toponymie of the city.
