Ungarn: Great Pastries of Fornetti

While in Hungary, try to find a grocery store or supermarket that has Fornetti sign on their wall, I can guarantee you for a nice quick warm pastry (well, at least I got addicted to their products he-he)! In Pecs, Fornetti signs almost at every grocery store that I spotted but one store that I had been there for more than 3 times so far is Attila Elelmiszer. At this store, you can ask them to warm your pastry if you’d like them to be warmth; there is oven-like or perhaps microwave especially for the pastries to warmth them for you; which I don’t always see on the other stores. From strudel with various fillings (grapes, apples, etc), Hungarian style cinnamon rolls, cheese pogacsa, to other type of pastries are available at this store, which of course pastries of Fornetti. Beside cold drinks, you can also get café and tea along with milk, bread, candies, and even cigarettes. Fornetti is actually available in other European countries; so I am quite positive those who reside or been to countries such as Austria, Croatia, Montenegro, etc are familiar with their pastries. Prices for their Fornetti pastries are not too bad although some can get as expensive as 1300 Forint, however the sizes are balanced with the prices; one Fornetti is big enough for you to share unless you are that hungry.
