Tambora Restoran: Yummy Crab Dish at Tambora Restoran

We went to try this restaurant for the first time on my father’s birthday. We had a huge family gathering, party of 30s, and all of us ordered the house special menu which was crabs! All sorts of cooking styles with crab as main ingredient were displayed variously on our table; from sweet and sour style, red sauce style, hot and spicy style, and special Tambora-sauce style; they were all really tempting and surprisingly really good.

It was a bit pricey though, a portion was around Rp. 80.000,- (USD 9) If I remember it well, crabs were the most expensive food on the menu while the other seafood or meat menus weren’t pricey at all; around Rp. 10.000,- to Rp. 35.000,- per portions. You can order sweet and sour shrimp tempura, stir-fried of water spinach, fried rice, fried noodles, calamari tempura, and lots more.

For each cold drink and juices, the prices were similar to most of restaurants in Indonesia, which was around Rp. 3.500,- to Rp. 10.000,- per serving glass. Located in Stal Kuda (Jl. Jenderal Sudirman), I totally recommend you to try Tambora Restaurant.
