Moore Park: The Entertainment Quater is hardly entertaining

The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park is not very entertaining in my opinion. There are a couple of streets with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, but as they are targeted at visitors, I find that they have little character. The few restaurants I have been to can all very successfully compete for the ‘longest waiting times’ title and if you go shopping, don’t forget your Platinum credit card (a bean bag for $700, anyone?).

If you still want to visit the Entertainment Quarter, choose a market day, Wednesday or Saturday. They are no trying to start markets on Sunday as well, but at the moment there aren’t many stalls or people on Sundays. The markets sell mainly food, drinks, flowers and various small items. You can sample good fresh food and have a look at some rather interesting displays. Last time I was there, I saw a stall with what seemed to be children’s clothing and I went closer to have a look. It was actually pet fashion!
