Gothic Quarter: Gothic Quarter

Barcelona is highly filled with Gothic architecture. One of the best places to get the full experience of this architecture is in the Gothic Quarter. Here there are all sorts of little shops and historic buildings that date back to medieval times. Many of the streets making many weird turns and add to the whole gothic experience created a darker atmosphere easily losing travelers. Many of the people in this area also didn’t want to talk back to me in English, making everything just a bit harder when I was trying to find my way back. What was helpful was taking a pocket Spanish dictionary to use some key phrases like “this direction” or “where is”. This is a Cathedral located here that is just perfect.I would recommend a short stop inside. Overall the Gothic Quarter is a good place to lose your way and see some of the best architecture in Barcelona.
