Bahay Kubo: A Taste of a High Quality Filipino Meal

Located near Cavite City, Bahay Kubo (or nippa hut in English) stands high among other restaurants because of its homey, native, and clean appeal. And, what I like most about this place is its food. Bahay Kubo boasts of its native Filipino dishes that originated from all over the country. My favorites are Bicol Express, Menudo, Liempo, and Sinigang—all of which are very affordable. One order of a meal is like below 50Php. So let’s just say that in Bahay Kubo, your $1 can find its way to fill up your hungry stomach.

On the other hand, let me remind you that this is an open restaurant. That means it is not enclosed within walls and is being ventilated with fresh air. And, fresh air in the middle of the city doesn’t really mean fresh. Aside from that, a lot of noises coming from all types of vehicles surround this restaurant.

So if you don’t really care about the environment and what matters to you is the taste of high quality Filipino dishes at affordable prices, then Bahay Kubo is the right place to visit.
