Murano itself is a great little town and makes Venice feel like a really big city. After my adventures in transit I enjoyed getting off the bus and wondering the streets. I of course was in Murano in the off season which in itself has benefits. I did however find Murano was quite a bit more expensive than Venice; so if this was off season pricing I would hate to see it in the peak season.
I would recommend packing a lunch to either eat on the way out or somewhere once you get there – not that I know if you’re allowed to eat on the bus and Murano didn’t seem picnic friendly.
Either way, the day trip out was worth it; a walk able city that all the people I met were friendly. It was great to see another city on the water and walk through streets that were less busy than Venice.
