Kuranda: Quad biking

Quad biking might be a fantastic way to see the native forest, if you are a confident rider. I wasn’t. I had to concentrate really hard to stay on the path… not very successfully. I bumped into a tree and all the people on the tour had to wait for the instructor to get me back on track. How embarrassing! I hope the tree has managed to recover from our encounter.

It was fun and different, but I might have to go back to actually see the forest another time. And did I mention I was 4-months pregnant at the time? I could not have chosen a less suitable activity if I tried.

If you decide to do it, make sure to wear long pants. It would be on your itinerary, but no one ever reads these things. The bikes get very hot and if you go through a wet area, the water evaporates and can burn you quite badly.
