Schweden Frage: When is the best time to visit?

I am really interested in visiting Sweden. As I mentioned in a previous post, Gothenburg is ones of the towns of Sweden that I'm very fond of exploring! There are many places that I am interested to visit there as well but I would like to know when is the best time of the year to go in Sweden. I prefer summer months in general for my travels but what about in a cold country as Sweden? (comparing to Greece)

I usually like cold weather, but that was too cold for me, and it seemed like even coming out of the hotel and walking was a great effort. I enjoyed myself nevertheless, but I think summer would be better. My girlfriend went there in summer too and she said it was great, because it's not extremely hot either. So I think summer would be perfect.

You can save alot of money visiting such an expensive country if you go in the summer as you can camp in many places and cook your own food outdoors. Also there is alot of free entertainment outdoor in the summer. I went to Norway in the summer and it was cold enough then so i can imagine it would be extremely bitter in the winter. If you go in summer you will probably get to see alot more. From Sweden in the summer i even managed to see the Northern lights in Lulea which is right in the North of Sweden, so if you go in summer you really get the best of both worlds.

If you want to visit Schweden in summer you could have to deal with very hot weather and well the people there didn't seem to like this. They were rather grumpy as is my experience, whereas is winter people turned out to be very friendly. But well thi could have just been bad luck, but for this reason i would only go there again during winter.

You can see lots of interesting things from the water and just have a good time. As far as I remember they operated from the middle of April till some day in October.
You cannot predict the weather, so it is hard to say. But I had fun there in May, although that time it was not very warm.
I summer, late spring and early autumn you can enjoy breakfasts, beers and coffees outside at the street cafes.
