Greyfield Farm Cottages: Greyfield Farm Cottages, High Littleton

Late January, Somerset, UK. As predicted, the weather was shocking for our long weekend holiday in and around Bath. However, despite the wind and the rain outside, we were warm and relaxed in our self-catered cottage at Greyfield Farm in High Littleton.

There were lots of little details which made our time in the ‘Old Dairy’ cottage at Greyfield Farm special: a log-fire and a DVD player for the cold, winter evenings; cider, apple juice and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived; a goat that happily ate our leftover bread; and two tickets to Thermae Bath Spa included in the package.

While the information hut looked like it hadn’t been updated for a while, we did enjoy the onsite Jacuzzi and – had we been staying there longer – I would have also used the small gym. For us, self-catering meant treating ourselves to local bacon and eggs from a nearby store each morning.

High Littleton is a short drive from Bath. Apparently there’s a bus too that goes to the village regularly as well, but as the cottages are off the main road, I can’t imagine that arriving by bus or train would be that convenient.

Reading the guest book at Old Dairy, I noticed lots of comments from repeat visitors. If I get my way, we'll be repeat visitors as well.
