I hadn't been to Osoyoos for a few years now, but was very surprised and impressed to the see the majestic new visitor's centre on the main highway junction.

It's a beautiful structure with striking architectural style. A wonderful native sculpture showcases an Indian warrior riding into battle, or at least that what it looks like to me.

The new visitor's centre is fully equipped to provide tourist information to the 44,000 visitors that they received each year. Not bad for a sleepy retirement town of 4,000 people.

This is the perfect place to find out about camping, recreational activities, and even about the area's 15 or so wineries that have sprung up in recent years.

The new visitor's centre is also home to the Greyhound bus station for Osoyoos. Pretty impressive bus stop, if I must say so myself.
