The Emirates are too over the top to be comprehended by a simple mind like me. But one thing I understood perfectly so far: deliver entertainment and sensations no matter of the costs. One perfect example for this is the ski Dubai! As we know, Dubai is in the middle of the desert! Desert equals sun equals heat equals no snow equals question. Answer: the sheikhs just build an amusement dome where there is a ski-world. On the roof of the gigantic Mall of Emirates they put in equal terms gigantic 22 500 qm downhill area. Outside you have got around 40 degrees and inside minus two. You receive ski-jackets and gloves and so on at the entry, because the locals just don’t have such garments in their wardrobe. They offer the only black indoor-piste of the world and 5 downhill-trails, the largest with 400 m length. Some international ski-teams prepared for competitions in this artificial ski-world. And they really think about applying for the winter Olympics. Despite the energy they are wasting it’s a fun place. If your bad conscience is not giving you headaches you should really try it. I basically suck in skiing but I took the challenge. But don’t even think about doing shots while skiing, this is a master-ship which is hardly achieved. For me this is impossible. So fellows if you are melting away in the desert there is surely one option to be taken: go into Dubai largest fridge and taste the ice of the emirates. Where: Dubai, U.A.E. on top of the mall of the emirates, take a cab there
