The Jardin Anglais is situated in the city-centre. Along to other parks and the main institutions of the UN and the European Union. It’s very well connected with trams and buses. I seem to run into people from Geneva quite often. And they always complain about their city, that it’s boring and too expensive and whatever. I have been there a few days and I really liked it. Ok, surely Switzerland is not very adventurous hence everybody eats from golden plates and flies to work with his helicopter. There is no struggle for anything and the question that concerns Swiss people the most is how to remain the high living standard. But there is no doubt that it is a beautiful country with a nice infrastructure. And eventually it is up to everyone to make it a little more exciting. So how about a little game of chess in the Jardin Anglais? I love chess and if it is public and with giant figures, I love it even more. You can demolish the intellectual confidence of your opponent in front of dear friends and if he is raging you can still throw real obstacles at him. Now this, my friend is adventure. It was mentioned on a webpage that it is a special Swiss thing, that such public gadgets are treated well and not destroyed. Well, why should it be, since it is such a great thing how to spend your time out. The park itself is really neat, but now we are going to be boring again. So back to the chess-game. It is the game of the kings and queens and brings out the best of both sexes. Gary Kasparov, the Grand Master a former World Champion is now heading the opposition to Vladimir Putin in Russia. He is doing a good job and raises a lot of media, which is required in politics. Another form of attention is raised by the WCBC. This strange organisation is holding a beauty contest for all the female grand masters in the game. You can vote for the girls on their page and there a true miss-contests. Here we go!
