Marktplatz: Indoor Market Place

The Stuttgart Market Place is an indoor market where food is sold. Everything is indoors so this market can stay open year round. Inside I found all sorts of different food items ranging from meat to fruits and vegetables. Here food can be found from all over the whole world. There was a stand just for Chinese, Indian food, Turkish food, and of course German bakeries.

This Market Place is divided into two sections, the bottom main selling floor, and an upper part that features many restaurants. When I saw there I saw two restaurants that overlook the market selling floor. They are both very nice, but also very pricey, like many of the restaurants in Stuttgart.

I enjoy this market place because it reminded me of the indoor market places that I have seen in both Barcelona and London. It is also a way to get the freshest fruits and vegetables. During the summer however, I prefer the outdoor market located near the Rathaus in Stuttgart so that I can get some sunshine while I shop, but during the rainy days and the colder days in Stuttgart, I always make sure I go to the large indoor Market Place.
