So you think you would have to go to Holland first to see the beauty of tulips fields? Well not really! Australia has tulips festival, in United States they also have tulips festival, and Canada certainly has tulips festival as well.

I have been to Ottawa Tulip Festival for a couple of times already and never got bored of it whatsoever. Tulips are really beautiful and rich in colors! Thankfully I don’t have to go to Europe or Netherlands to admire the beauty of them, if only I had to, I might not have seen tulips till today!

Each year, the Ottawa Tulip Festival is something that Canadians really expecting for. Some people, even though they have to travel for more than 6 hours to reach Ottawa, and even though they have been to the festival before, they would do it all over again just to see the beautiful tulips and what the capital city could offer them!

Yes, when it is May, tulips can be seen almost all over Canada, but at the Ottawa Tulip Festival, tulips are not the only thing to satisfy your eyes. Daffodils, cherry and/or apple blossoms, hot dog, lemonade, and snacking vendors, painting exhibitions and children sections, are also available and the festival itself becomes more fun to explore.

Either you have so much knowledge of each tulips or not, it really doesn’t matter as the Officials Gardener of the Canada’s Capital are kind enough marking each differ tulips to let the visitors know which tulips belong to which family. You can take pictures, buy a pot or two, or just relaxing on the grasses with your family while listening to the live music (yes, sometimes when you are lucky enough, there is always a musician of harp or violin or other, playing a tune or two for the visitors)

So if you are in Canada, unless you really planning to go to Holland at certain month to see the blooming tulips, just go to Ottawa to capture the enchanted beauty of tulips at the Ottawa Tulip Festival! And while you are in the town, explore more the downtown!
