Westminster Abbey: Westminster Abbey

One morning, I visited St. Margaret's Church and Westminster Abbey. They are both very beautiful and full of lovely stained glass. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The abbey is very very beautiful and the guided tour is quite informative.

But I felt that I shouldn't just be there as a tourist. So, that evening, I attended choral evensong at the Westminster Abbey, enjoying every bit of it - more because of how beautiful the abbey is than anything else.

The Anglican evensong is very different from the kind I have experienced before. Even the Yorkminster evensong, which I have attended and enjoyed, was not as choral, or even as interactive, as the one at the Westminster. And best of all: there was the South Bank walk to look forward to once again after evensong.
