Niagara Falls: Niagra Falls, Parking and Shopping

When I first went to Niagara Falls, it was on the way back from Toronto. Toronto and Niagara are around 2 hours from each other. The first thing to remember when going to the falls is to have some Canadian cash on you. When I went there I only had US money and therefore got offered a really bad exchange rate when parking. Currently around 10 dollars. But at least, when you park by the falls you get a great view, even from your car. If you want to avoid the parking prices, try parking at the Casino or one of the shops farther away if you can.

Footage from the falls was even used to the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

If you are looking to do some cheap shopping while at the Niagara Falls, cross over to the US side and visit Niagara Falls Prime Outlets. This outlet mall features such stores as Adidas and Polo. Most things are all at reduced prices. Sometimes you can walk out of these outlet stores with a real bargain. However, be careful because a lot of these stores seem to have reduced prices, but they really aren't any cheaper in the store. I seemed to have found the best deals at the GAP outlet store as well as the Adidas factory outlet store. I walked away with shorts from around $15 that would have normally cost at least double that price. Even though the view from USA is not that great, it is worth to go across even at least for a little shopping.
