El Paso: Downtown El Paso

I wasn’t sure what to expect with El Paso, Texas. Would it just be a desert type city with nothing to offer, including no water? Keep in mind this city is right next to the border.

Downtown El Paso – A Mexican Immigrant’s Dream?

From downtown, you can easily cross to and from Mexico. Make sure of course that you have proper identification, permits, or visas. You can take the bridge on Stanton Street which will cost you about 35 cents to get a across. Only 35 cents? Yeah it is rather cheap to cross the border. From here you’ll get to see the Rio Grande. Actually the river isn’t so grand, its rather smaller than imagined. At the border there are all kinds of stuff to do. Even some shops on the US side will even take Pesos.
