Yes it is weird, but if you like weird stuff you should definitely continue reading. I
have heard about chessboxing almost a year ago, as I was reading a short article about the
championship of that discipline. Obviously it was a fresh sport that combined the number
one fighting...

Just gained a place in my list of favourite cities! What makes it so exciting is the huge
amount of cool young people (that stand strong for a secular state, by the way) and the
instant feeling of history below your bones. There had been the Greeks, the Armenians, the
Persians, the...

A fortune teller in India read my hand recently and told me that I am loving nature. I
thought this is quite rethorical, because I don’t know anyone, who doesn’t love
nature?!? And I am not very fond of going out into the nature, but there are a few places
that just impress you to the...

The Alexanderplatz is a living myth that belongs to Berlin like the Brandenburg Gate. It
was a market square, which received his name, based on the russian zar as he was visiting
Berlin, in 1805. But it became a legend just after it was connected to U- and S-Bahn in
the 20s of the...

I actually couldn´t believe until I read about it. But it´s true. The first ever
starbucks has its origin in Seattle. Just recently I had my „hottu chocolatu“ in Tokyo
and also at the streets of Seoul they are not short of coffee. Not even mentioning London,
Hamburg and Berlin....

It all started in Novgorod. It is the oldest Russian city founded in 859 a.d., during a
time were Lithuanian tribes ruled the Slavic territories. There was no Russian Kingdom and
no superpower in sight. It is situated 190 km South of St.Petersburg and as the base of
the Russian nation...

In 1998 South Korea was heavily affected by the Asian economic crisis and the government
came up with a very smart plan. They decided to invest in the field of Broad Band Internet
intensively, which was back in the days in ist children shoes. They also decides that the

I can´t really say something about public market culture in the US, but I reckon it is
everywhere different, hence the very 50 states all have a different history and flavour. I
personally dig the coasts the most and therefore I was quite impressed by the fish market
at the Pike Place...

Among the new islamic countries of the post Soviet Union I tend to like Azerbaijan a lot.
You get your kebab warm, photo-venders throw LC-A after you and I even saw transvestites
after nightfall on the street. That´s what I call liberal, baby! I was in Baku for a

Gamble yourself Ever been to Vegas? This Gods forsaken oasis in the middle of the desert?
You have to see it! It’s like Disneyland on Mars. And I mean it not only literally! If
you fly in you see nothing but red sand for a long time, but suddenly lights blink and the
desert is...

Iceland surely is a strange place. One of the most astonishing sites is the blue lagoon.
Well. It’s a hot thermal source. But it’s more than that. It lay in the middle of a
field of volcanic stones, a rough moon-like field. The Bath is close to the seaside,
that’s why there are...

When: Spring, Summer I would recommend you to fly to Odessa or Simferopel and then you
decide where to go. There cheap flights with Air Baltic from Riga or Tallinn. So you can
go first there with Easyjet and take the next flight to the Ukraine. Frequent

The area I live in is basically not inhabited. Hammerbrook in Hamburg is an industrial-
and business-territory. But there are lofts and there am I. I live in an Artists House
where people live in lofts and start projects together, but this very spot will be

Some believe that football is more than a sport. They tend to say, that it is a religion.
And sometimes there I kind of believe it, too. One obvious sign of the spiritual approach
to the game is that there are chapels within the stadiums. In Germany there are at least
two. One is in...

If it comes to accommodation - this one of the peak of everything. The toppest of the

wonder. The...

| 1/8 | next I recently took my vacation in the Marche, which is a neat area in the
middle of Italy. Very calm and decently close to the Adriatic Sea and the port of Ancona.
It has all the treats of the Italian landscape, having mountains and seaside alike.
Sometimes I wonder why...

You can take buses and tourist-trips to the golden circle from Reykjavik. But it is quite
smart to rent a car and to discover the place by yourself. Iceland is not only covered in
snow most of the year. No, within the country it is rather covered with fog! Especially if
you take the...
