Since students hall of residence Jarratt’s Hall is located a street away from the Selly
Oak Road and there are plenty of restaurants so you can pick and choose. And pick and

Birmingham Botanical Gardens are located at Westbourne Road, Edgbaston.

admit this was not my find, it was suggested by a friend when studying just got a bit too

It has to be said I have a very love/hate relationship with Birmingham. I lived there
while I did my postgraduate course and it was dislike on first sight. Maybe because it did
not stop raining for the first 3 weeks I got there. However after a while, I settled

Zagreb’s Technical Museum is located at Savska cesta 18 (a few minutes walk from the
Mimara museum). I would urge anyone who is traveling with children to see the
Technical museum as it is a rare treat and not really plagued with tourists (more with
local schools on day trip)....
